At the end of the driveway, the world skims past.
At the end of the world, the world is skimming away.
Kids slide through on the pathways and rubbish bins.
Kids wander away, all around the pathway.
In summer blaze and autumn falls
Kids walk home in their school uniforms.
Inside their jumpers, their hands warm
Inside their jumpers, the kids feel warmth everywhere they go
The boy plays around with his friends: Not yet seeing not yet knowing
That what's gone is a new beginning, that what begins is already growing slower and slower
Adults with their jogging legs
Swish by in trains to adult workplaces
